Free QR Code Generator

QR (Quick Response) codes encode data into a two-dimensional matrix of black and white modules. The encoding process first converts your input text into a binary data stream, then applies Reed-Solomon error correction to ensure the code remains readable even if up to 30% of it is damaged or obscured.

The data is arranged in a specific pattern that includes finder patterns (the three large squares in corners) for orientation detection, timing patterns for module grid alignment, and format/version information. The remaining modules store the actual encoded data.

This generator supports multiple data types: plain text, URLs (with automatic URI scheme detection), Wi-Fi network configuration (SSID, password, encryption type), and vCard contact data. Error correction level M (15% recovery) is used by default, balancing data capacity with reliability. All processing is done in your browser — no data is sent to any server.
