Frequently Asked Questions

Does adding a watermark modify my original image?

No. All processing happens in your browser and your original file remains unchanged. A new watermarked image is created separately.

Can I use a transparent PNG logo as a watermark?

Yes, upload a PNG with a transparent background and the transparency will be preserved, creating a natural-looking watermark.

What is tile repeat?

When tile repeat is enabled, the watermark is repeated across the entire image in a diagonal pattern. This is highly effective for preventing image theft.

Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. Everything is processed 100% in your browser using the Canvas API. Your photos never leave your device.

Can I watermark multiple images at once?

Yes, you can upload up to 20 images and batch-process them with the same watermark settings. Download individually or as a ZIP.

How It Works

Your original image and optional watermark image are both loaded into HTML5 Canvas elements. The tool uses the Canvas 2D context's globalAlpha property to control opacity and compositing operations (globalCompositeOperation) for blending. Text watermarks are rendered with fillText(), supporting custom fonts, sizes, and colors. The watermark layer is drawn over the base image at the configured position and angle using translate() and rotate() transforms. For tiled watermarks, the pattern is repeated across the canvas in a grid.

All rendering happens entirely in your browser through the Canvas API. Your images are never uploaded to any external server, keeping your original files completely private and secure.
